Water Well For Gaza

Here in Khan Yunis Gaza, water is desperately needed. As you know, water is paramount for survival and here in the Strip, Palestinians are in urgent need of it. You have the chance to support water access for Gaza for years to come by supporting our project to drill a well that will provide thousands of gallons of water per day. Pure water is the world’s first and foremost medicine, no water, no life.

According to the UN, at least 88% of Gaza’s water infrastructure has been destroyed by the Israeli army over the past two years. This means that approximately half of the population, one million Palestinians, have been forced to survive on less than 1.6 gallons of water per day. Imagine, less than 6 liters of water for all of your daily needs including for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene. (The average North American toilet uses the exact same amount, 1.6 gallons per flush!)

In partnership with Glia and Humanity Above All, we’re almost halfway to our goal to make this well a reality and we’re counting on your support to get us the rest of the way there. An additional $8,000 will make this well operational, which is more sustainable and lasting than other forms of water support, such as water trucking and delivery.

Palestinians—a group of people who have done a remarkable job at being self-sustaining—have been forced to live without dignity and with little access to water, the most basic life-affirming need. Today, we have the opportunity to provide both dignity and water and it starts with your donation. Please know that 100% of any kind contribution will be used to help quench our parched Palestinian friends. Thank you.
